Mine is 16 months and still not walking...he does weight bare, he cruises and pulls himself up but when it comes to walking he doesn't comply.

My DH and I have tried walking with him, in the park, in the shopping centre, in the garden.....but he wont

My oldest son walked at 11 months......the HV said its fine, that he will walk in his own time but when I come across parents who kids are doing cartwheels and running round and they are younger than my DS both DH and me feel like we are doing something very wrong :(

About 15 months. HV told me not to worry at 1 year check as he was pulling up and cruising. He crawled faster and faster then backwards - anything but walk.

DS walked at 10 months, but at nearly 17 months he only says a couple of words and his fine motor skills are nothing to write home about (he never sits still long enough to practice them). They all have their own unique developmental timetable.

Dd 19mo. I wasn't worried. All of her cousins walked between 9mo - 1 year. There is no rush!

18months, after an eternity of confident cruising she just took off walking one day, no stumbling no trying it out just let go and walked. She would never walk holding on to our hands would always drop to her knees if we tried. She now at 2 runs everywhere, has mastered stairs at speed and is trying to figure out jumping Smile

A friend of mine says she didn't walk until 18 months, at which stage she just got up and ran.

There was anger child there, and it seems she just thought "Oooh, that looks like fun," and went to join them.

My three all walked at around the 13-14 month mark.

16 months! He was the last of our group and I worried but since then have spoken to many a mum with a late walker. He'd walked holding our hands for months but refused to let go.

naty1 · 21/04/2014 20:13

First steps 12m - walking 13m.
But had been cruising 5m by then. We lurred her with raisins between 2 tables, and visits to park in shoes where it was uncomfortable to crawl.

DS 17 months
DD 9 months...

Both of mine were 12 months - pfb I was all proud of Blush dc2 I was Hmm - just SUCH hard work chasing them round when they don't have any sense.
I didn't walk till 18 months - I will admit to being perhaps not the quickest learner (eg driving although I got there in the end) but I am an educated, well rounded and all together delightful adult Grin

DS1 14 months, DS2 11.5 months, if there are no obvious concerns such as uneven creases, clicky hips etc I would not worry -
