15mo walking with foot turned out. Will she correct in time or do I need to nip in bud?

My DD is 15 months and has been walking for about a month. She's doing really well...still falls over a bit but generally pretty stable on her feet.

But I've noticed that she really turns out one of her feet...a bit duck-like. Is this something that toddlers would usually grow out of and eventually straighten herself, or is this something I need to 'nip in the bud'.

Any ideas how I can encourage her a such a young age to straighten her foot?

You need to take her to the GP and get a referral to a paediatrician to have her hip, etc checked.

Don't try to get her to change anything as there may be a reason behind it.

my niece had the same problem and SIL took her doctors straightaway. she was referred and checked over - at the time (she was 2) they didn't want to intervene as they thought it was something she would grow out of as she got older and had more control.

she did however go back for 6 monthly check-ups to make sure there was no underlying problem and now she walks just fine (she's 6).

its always best to get these things checked out - for peace of mind if nothing else x
