in the oven of her play kitchen? A lot of things are found there in this house.

DumbledoresGirl · 24/06/2006 21:24

Have you tried in the shoe box they came in?

Running out of places to look, she's never put anything in the bin so i don't think she has put them it there.
She has'nt taken them upstairs as she does'nt wear them upstairs and cant get up the stairs with anything in her hands so that also rules out the toilet.
Ive looked in the garden and no sign, looked behind the T.V which is where she hides things, looked in her toy microwave and uner the table.

Still no sign, by the time i find them they will be too small for her to wear

Cant help you, I'm afraid. But we have just found the Hamster that DD2 had lost !

Hurray ! That was behind the washing machine !

Have you looked in yours ?

mrsnoah · 24/06/2006 22:03

Oh yes, just to add.. hamster alive and well!

colditz · 24/06/2006 22:08

Has she posted them out of the letterbox?

Elibean · 24/06/2006 22:32

Hmm, dd hid hers behind the curtains and in the dressing-up box the other day....

tillykins · 24/06/2006 22:34

have you found anything else that was missing, whilst you looked for the shoes?

bluebear · 24/06/2006 23:24

In the freezer? (another fav hiding place IME)

koalabear · 24/06/2006 23:26

my son puts things inside his father's wellington boots - it's a treasure trove

JanH · 24/06/2006 23:30

Does she have a doll's pram or cradle?

SofiaAmes · 25/06/2006 06:23

Our house/car/work keys went missing one day after ds (age 18 mo.) had been seen playing with them. We found them a week or so later (after changing all the locks) in a spaghetti pot at the back of a kitchen cabinet.

FrayedKnot · 25/06/2006 19:49

Have you found them yet Marne?!

sugarfree · 25/06/2006 19:52

And is my tin opener with them?

wanderingstar · 25/06/2006 20:38

laundry basket
waste bin(s)
umbrella stands
toy boxes
food cupboards
wardrobes

Sorry no time to check whole thread !

hasbean · 26/06/2006 19:52

I found my dd1 s new shoes (worn once) in a puzzle box about one year after she was brought them as a present from her granny. On the plus side they are size 8 and will fit dd2 soon

KimJ · 26/06/2006 20:11

Washbasket and - you're not going to like this - composting bin....

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 26/06/2006 20:21

recycling bin in this house, every time

edam · 26/06/2006 20:29

My sister and I used to post things into a hole on the back of an armchair. Or into the door at the bottom of a (wall-hung) clock. Worth trying?

gigglinggoblin · 26/06/2006 20:33

do you have any long boots? fave tv remote hiding place

does she have a dolls house (i found loads of train track in our big yellow tea pot)

s.e.a - they will be in the last place you look cos then you stop looking

kitbit · 27/06/2006 10:44

give her another pair to hold and ask her to put them with her sandals! Similar to other poster, but works with ds if you give him the same kind of thing to hide.
