tall baby, tall child and adult?

i had my DD weighed amd measured today, she was 20lb 2 so between 75th and 91st and for her height she was 75.5cm which put her above the 98th centile! whereas tis doesnt bother me at all, I suprised as my DP and I Are 5'6 and 5'11 so not super tall. anyone have experience of a very long baby? did they remain tall as children and teens? just interested really

excuse my dreadful phone typing. She is 9 mo btw.

My dd1 was always on the 98th centile for height she is now 19 and 5' 9" I'm only 5'4" and dad is 5'10" dd2 is quickly catching her up. Both are also very slim

My own DD was born above the centile at over 22 inches long, stayed close to that between 95 & 98 centile right up until about 8, she was always a good 4 inches above her peers, but stopped growing at nearly 8 & her growth rate slowed right down to practically nil for well over a year where many of her friends caught up & passed her in height - we did realise after until a while later that this was partly linked to an inhaler the doctors had her on, it was affecting her stomach, she dropped down to 25 ish in the centile, but since coming off it, she's now growing again & has caught up, but it no longer the tallest one by far, sits somewhere in the middle of her friends now - but at aprox 75 on the centile charts.

I'm average hieght, but men on my DMs side are all well over 6 ft, women short - her dad is exceptionally tall, but his parents small, but he has a great grandmother who was exceptionally tall too.

I do expect DD will be taller than me, probably will end up pretty tall, but if I'm honest I'm a bit relieved shes now unlikely to end up as tall as they first thought she might do which was 6ft plus, based on some formulary they do at 3 years old

My brother was a long baby, always a head above other DCs and now 6ft 5 ins.
