To bumbo or not bumbo?

Cnni ask for your positives and negatives? My DS is 13 weeks, has good head control and loves his baby bjorn chair.

Is a bumbo a good addition or expensive BCC (brightly coloured crap!)
Does it give him something the baby bjorn chair doesn't?
Have I missed something about it?

Loved it for both DCs but agree limited time for use as they grow too chubby. Get one cheap on ebay tho.

Crap for us too. Sounded like a good idea. Got one for DD when she was 4.5mo. Used it 3-4 times. She sat up on her own at 5mo but think thus was in spite of bumbo not because of it.

We used it again at 6mo when we started weaning and hasn't gotten around to buying a high chair but her poor little chubby thighs were so squished we bought a hc in a week.

If you can, try DC in one before you buy. Some babies hate them.

And they take up a lot of room once you stop using it. Most would only use it for 1-2 mo at most. You can't fold it flat or anything so it just adds to the crap stuff in the attic
