Had the worst night with dd last night! She is going to be so tired at school today!

She is 5, and refused to go to sleep alone last night? She does this sometimes and begs, screams and shouts and demands to come in my bed! So last night this went on for 3 hours until she stopped! After finally giving in at 11pm she then woke at 12 and at 5 am saying she is scared and needs to come in my bed!

I didn't let her! Well today she is going to be extremely tired at school, but I will still have to send her! It's one of the worst nights I've ever had with her! And it's times like this I hate being a single parent!

I have this with my DD who is the same age. I do let her go to sleep in my bed at times and move her back (or indeed leave her in my bed for the night). I appreciate that last night was truly horrible for you - and as a fellow single parent I know how much you need a peaceful evening. Would you consider letting her co-sleep or drop off in your bed if it would help during these times? At least then she'll be getting her sleep and you'll get a peaceful evening.
