Have to share: I tricked my 19mo hair-washing phobic DD!

I'm so, so chuffed! DD's been a nightmare getting her hair washed. Proper phobia. Screams blue murder and leaps out of the bath at the sight of the shampoo/shower head/proper hair washing jug/rubber head band thing... honestly I'd tried everything and was really at the end of my tether.

Then a mum at playgroup suggested I give her a wet flannel and see what happens. I went a step further and I tricked her. I turned it into a game and she loved it. I got a hand towel and crouched down in front of the bath. Did 1,2,3, leapt up and put the towel over my head and she copied! (Except with a soaking wet flannel, mwahahahah!)

OK, we're not yet onto the shampoo but it's a start and what an unbelievable breakthrough. Just wanted to share.

Well done! Don't have children myself yet but I'll store that away for future reference!

Don't suppose you have any tips for getting worming pills into a cat? (The usual tricks don't work. Last time I ended up trapped under the bed in my efforts to get it into her!!!)

Haha! Thanks. No cats tips, I'm afraid. x
