Can you get a bouncer chair for an older baby?

DS, 7 months, loves sitting in his bouncer chair but he has now outgrown it. He likes sitting in it and it is so useful because I can position him around the house so that I can get on with chores and look after my DD. He doesn't like being put in the playpen.

Does anybody know of a bouncer chair for bigger babies? He weighs about 18lb now. TIA

I second the Baby Bjorn too. I have used it as a substitute high chair for both dcs when away from home and ds1 (nearly 3) still tries to sit in it when he gets the chance - although his bottom bounces on the ground, bless him. DD2 is 17Ib now and it looks as though it will be a while until she will outgrow it.

The downside of getting one is that you will probably wish you had bought one earlier.

I got a baby Bjorn too as my (3 month very long 7kg) LO is looking very slumped in his, it's great but not as easy to change positions as I thought but maybe that's because I bought a second hand older model.

We've got infant to toddler rockers by fisher price, about 50 quid and convert to a seat once they're too big for it in recliner mode. My girls love them!

Asda are selling a little rocker chair for £10 just now!

The babybjorn is wonderful. It's one of the very few things I wouldn't have wanted to be without while the DC were small. They are expensive new but they're indestructible, a second hand one would almost certainly be as good as new even if well used IYSWIM.

Oh, also, they fold flat and are eminently washable.

I've got the fisher price toddler rocker too and DD is nearly 2 and still uses it every day. You get pick them up really cheaply from ebay.

This one for example (N.B there are others lited too!)
