Hi there - my DD (4) and DS (2) have become unbearable in the mornings when they first wake up and I just wondered if there were any tips on dealing with children who hate mornings?!!! They take it is turns to have tantrums, cry, wail, stomp and sulk, until they've been up for about 3/4 of an hour and have had breakfast! At weekends we give them bananas as soon as they wake up, which solves the problem, but I could do with some strategies on weekdays!!!! Any suggestions??

Agree with the glass/cup of milk - my DCs 4 and 2 both have closed cups of warm milk in the morning (and a cup each before bed too).

Breakfast in bed followed by a warm bath. Morning bath times set everyone up for the day.
