Baby not crawling or moving

Hello,

I was just wondering whether I'm worrying unnecessarily or should I see my GP?

My dd is 11 months and will be one in 3 weeks. She is a happy and sociable child, is able to feed herself and sits very well. She is also able to roll on to her stomach and back again.

What I'm worried about, is that she is showing no signs of crawling and not pulling herself up to stand. Is this normal? All her friends, even those a month or two younger are on the move and pulling themselves up?

Should I be worried or have I lazy baby? Grin

Any advice gratefully received xx

I think I will have a chat with the HV/GP, hopefully just to set my mind at rest.

You're right mrsrabbit, you don't see many five your olds rolling to school. Xx

My DD will be one in April. She sounds exactly like yours tatty. Sitting well, talking (a few words and lots of babble), using her hands/eating well but no sign of crawling or pulling up. She can bear weight on her legs and roll over but cannot get to a sitting position from lying flat - needs a cushion in order to get herself to sitting. I went to GP who said she didn't think anything wrong, her muscle tone fine etc but I insisted on being referred to paediatrician who I am seeing on March 16th. I don't think it is anything to worry about I think she is just a late developer but I want to get her checked to put my mind at rest. Let us know what heppens with your GP tatty.
