my sweet dd has turned into a bit of a monster, and its getting me down! she seems to wake grumpy, everything sets her off crying, and she shouts about everything. no amount of ignoring bad behaviour/praising good behaviour is helping. she sleeps and eats well. it is getting me down. I am embarassed to admit I shouted at her to stop shouting and crying tonight, after hours and hours of tears and tantrums. help.

My nearly 3 year old rarely cries now unless he's hurt himself but at just turned 2 he was like your dd.

Is she speaking yet? My ds wasn't so I think his tears and tantrums came from the frustration of not being able to tell/explain to me what he wanted.

It all gradually wore off as he developed more words and started talking.

I think it probably lasted about 3 months in total. It was hell at the time though.

Sorry I can't help more but I know how you feel.

Could she be teething? They get more teeth at around 2-2.5.)

thanks for the comments. she speaks really well for her age, and i keep asking her to try and use words to tell me the problem. she does sometimes, but I think often doesnt know what the problem is. or the problem is that I am stopping her doing what she wants, eg throwing toys, hitting...
