10month old only sits by kneeling and is very wobbly falls back alot

My just turned 10 month old little girl can only sit by herself when kneeling, she has been crawling since 7 months and has been kneeling for almost as long. But she is still so so wobbly and always falling back as if she is top heavy. Doesnt help that she will jiggle about when excited or upset which makes her more unsteady. I am constantly hovering and always so scared to let her down to play if I am not watching like a hawk.

Is this normal and should I just let her get on with it? I am hoping she will have better balance when she walks but she is showing no signs of that as hasn't tried pulling up to standing at all yet.

I havnt gotten round to seeing a health visitor yet and dont go baby clinic.

Also our floors are all hardwood and tiles so its always a hard landing when she falls and im so worried that its affecting her development by always hitting her little head :(

She can't sit unaided at 10 months, and you haven't got round to asking a health professional about this?! yet have time to ask on here....the Internet never ceases to amaze me.

That's very harsh coraltoes! The OP's DD sounds well within the range of normal, especially if she's been crawling since 7 months - she must have core strength to be able to do that. It might be worth mentioning to the HV but it doesn't sound like there's much wrong. Why not post on here to see if anyone else has had similar experiences? Baby clinics (in my experience) are always such a hassle, on at nap times and with long waits which aren't fun with an older baby.
