almost 5yo ds was eating leaves - he said he was hungry

i was looking after him as she was having a night out. she dropped him off at 12 and he came with me and my dh dd and ds to a bbq. He ate loads of pasta salad and a hot dog and then 2 doughnuts. All the kids said they'd had enough and ran off to play. I went to check on them and my dd said 'xxxx has been eating leaves'

I asked him and he said yes he was cos he was hungry

I thought it was a bit odd - there was loads of food - all the kids kept coming back and forth for bits and bobs to eat and he's not a particularly shy kid

do i tell her or do i just forget it??

I'd tell her - even if there's nothing behind it other than childish curiosity or silliness, he needs to know not to munch on anything he finds in the garden in case it turns out to be poisonous.

I'd mention it in passing in a 'oh you never guess what X was bloody eating haha' kind of way.

My dd tells everyone that she sees that she is very hungry all the time! Hmm

you have to tell her, if my child was eating it, i will like to know about it.
