3 yr old says he needs to wee all the time but no infection detected

Hello
I'm so worried about my son who's 3 and a half. About 3 weeks ago two of his childcare settings independently reported that he was asking to go for a wee an "unusual" number of times. I took him to the doc with a sample but initial tests showed no infection, however he was then up half the night trotting back and forth to the loo, so I took him back to doc the next day. They sent a sample off to the lab and gave him a 2 week course of antibiotics to be on the safe side, but no problems could be detected. However he's still running to the loo every 15 minutes. On his 4th visit to the doctor, the doc told me to relax and stop worrying as there's nothing wrong with him, but 2 weeks later he's still doing it. Last night he was up for a wee 12 times between 2 am and 5 am. He's not getting enough sleep and nor am I. He's quite placid about it, weeing doesn't seem to hurt in any way but he gets distressed if I try to encourage him to wait a few minutes or distract him with something else. I don't know how to deal with it and the doctor basically dismissed me as being a paranoid mama. If it's psychological, what is the best way to deal with it? and if it's physiological then why haven't they been able to find anything, is it something more serious perhaps??? Has anyone got any advice?
Thanks
Sixy

Sorry I have no experience of this but bumping for you. Hope you find out what's going on. You need to keep on at the docs for the reason. He must be shattered and so must you being up that often. Hope you find a solution to the problem.
