I just wondered if anyone has any experience/comments on using CO? My DD is 7 weeks old today and has been having an absolute horrendous time of it. We have tried all the usual remedies and currently get some relief from colief and infacol. Our GP put her on paracetamol several times a day at 6 week check as she thought she was in a lot of tummy pain and this has also improved things as well but still we get some really bad times. We went for our first appointment on Friday and the CO said it would take a few sessions and that she may be worse for first 24 hours - that was certainly true! Would very much appreciate any experiences/comments that people may have of using this treatment.

We went for CO when ds was about 3 months old for similar reasons to yours. After listening to lots of people's advise, really felt needed to try it to answer my own question and curiousity.

To be honest, went for 3 sessions and didnt find any long term improvement. There was improvemetn in the followign 24 hours but that was it so we stopped in the end.

DS is now 8 months old and a different child. Much happier and content. It will get better. (We used Dr Brown bottles as well which helped)

Bluesmile your experience of improvements in the following 24 hours may be interesting as that is what happened to us on the 2nd treatment but she went rapidly downhill after that. Today we have been again so will see what happens after this treatment. We have also been given a prescription for Infant Gaviscon by our GP as DD is doing this gasping and swallowing thing as well so we're thinking that as hodgepodge said it may be silent reflux. Fingers crossed!
