i have an 8 week old and everytime he is sick (which is pritty regular as with all babies) he does his upmost to swallow it all back down again.

if its on the outside of his mouth (when im running to get cloth) u can gaurentee it will be gone by the time i get there. hes seems to have managed to work out how to roll his lips round to get it back in

should i leave him to it or should i try n get it outa his mouth - (i did think i should but how???)

dont worry - it is probably just milk that he has only just drunk and wont have anything untoward in it. you could try just gently leaning him forward so gravity helps a bit. or be a bit quicker with the cloth and dab what you can. but i certainly wouldnt attempt to get into his mouth.

Sounds fine to me. I used to almost cry when I'd spend an hour or two feeding DD only to have her puke it back up again - I would have loved it if she'd swallowed it down again!!

lol!! thanks both - i do lean him forward but often he wont open his mouth when winding/sick - suppose it is only milk so aint gunna hurt him just sounds a bit disguating!! ive never seen a baby do this before but then i suppose if he wasnt happy/ it tasted horrible he would cry or spit it out.
