Spanish girls name?

mumtoblaire · 10/07/2010 11:18

Had picked name for DD2, due in 3 weeks. Now thinking it is a bit "out there" for a girl.

DD1 has boy/girl name Blaire. Our surname is short. Starts with A and finishes with A.

Name we had picked was also boy/girl name although not in this country, usa.

DD1 really doesn't like name we had picked and would prefer girly sounding name. DH is half spanish and I know FIL would love a spanish name for DGD2.

But DD1 has MILs name for middlename. Catherine although she is known as Kay.

My mums name is susan and that is what she is called. DD2 is going to get this as middle name but maybe sue, susie

Any ideas greatly appreciated as I am totally stuck.

I assume you don't want massively-obvious Spanish names like Purificacion or Concepcion or Mercedes?

Maria
Juana
Luz
Tania

Or Susana instead of Susan?

I like Beatriz nn Bea which sounds good with Blaire. Also like Gabriela and Sofia.

I like Susie and Susan actually, and Susana (prefer Susannah though). Not crazy about Sue though. It's a bit weak and bland. Sorry.

I like the ones ending in O. Rosario, Charito.

you could have Callisto/Callista/Calypso with Cally for short.

Thanks for all suggestions. Some great ideas and some beautiful names.

I love Carmen but my cousin used it for her daughter 2 years ago.
