neither.

ValiumSingleton · 04/07/2010 15:41

Neither.

coffeefestival · 04/07/2010 15:42

Tahlia, but with the spelling Talia.

ValiumSingleton · 04/07/2010 15:42

Sorry that wasn't very helpful.

I do like Lia and that is a beautiful name.

Kyla is not my style but Isla is quite nice.

Tillyscoutsmum · 04/07/2010 15:50

I'm not keen on either. I do think Kyla is too similar to Kylie. Lia is a pretty nn though

coffeefestival · 04/07/2010 16:37

How about

Amelia
Natalia
Lydia
Maya
Georgia
Alexandra
Sophia
Lucia
Thea

ReasonableDoubt · 04/07/2010 16:39

Thalia. It's the most classic and pretty spelling.

Not keen on Kyla. Kaia or Kaya? Sound less made up.

overmydeadbody · 04/07/2010 16:43

Neither, unless you live on a rough housing estate.

Lia is a lovely nn though.

ReasonableDoubt · 04/07/2010 16:44

Oh here we go again...

I like both ..but then I live on a rough council estate ..

Takver · 04/07/2010 17:44

I like both but would spell it Talia.

I know an adult Kyla, so obviously not that modern

AbiAbi · 04/07/2010 17:44

I like Thalia, and Lia. What middle names were you thinking of?

Don't like Kyla, sorry

Natalia could be both Lia and Talia for short. Pick Natalia

Takver · 04/07/2010 17:50

In fact, the adult Kyla I know is from the States, so I suspect it may be a standard name from another language, or an anglicisation thereof, IYKWIM. I still think it is pretty, anyway.

Thalia is a lovely name, and nn lia is pretty too.

Kyla - sounds low end and cheap - sorry.

Thelongroadhome · 04/07/2010 17:56

I'm with valiumSingleton

Bicnod · 04/07/2010 18:16

I think Tahlia is pretty but I am somewhat biased as it is my niece's name and she's completely gorgeous.

foxyjbro99 · 04/07/2010 18:30

I'm swaying more towards Tahlia, I'm not keen on the spelling Thalia, because I think it will create pronounciation problems.
DH likes Tahleia so nn can be leia (as in princess leia .
I just don't want it to be pronounced
Ta-lee-ah
want it to be pronounced
Tar-lee-ah

DYSWIM??

My only thought would be that cf Dahlia gives you Tail - ee - a

HerHonesty · 04/07/2010 18:39

sorry i think they are both awful.

mathanxiety · 04/07/2010 18:41

Thalia or Leah, but not Kyla ever.

cece · 04/07/2010 18:41

I know a Tahlia but to me it sounds like you've left the front bit off and it should be Natalia. I would also spell it Thalia.
