Monty and Theo probably.

What is it about the names you like, though? Is it because they're short, or do you like names that emphasise vowel sounds, or do you like names that sound a bit posh?

polyroly · 26/06/2010 11:00

Hello all, thanks for the suggestions!

Cuppa I like them because they are heavy on the vowel sounds and are short. DP's parents are not English speakers and wouldn't be able to say a whole lot of English names but Noah and Hugo they would be fine with and Oscar would only be slightly problematic. I wondered what else might be out there that I hadn't seen - very tedious looking through baby books trying to say them in PIL's accent!

Strange side effect seems to be (as you mention) that they all sound a bit posh!
