Girls names that go with a 1 syllable surname beginning with F

Hubby thinks we need at least 3 syllables in the first name because of our really short surname but I don't think it's that important. So, suggestions please.

Felicity

Felicia (pronounce the cia as you would in Felicity, not Fer-lee-sha)

Igglybuff · 15/06/2010 20:16

Whoops misread - your surname begins F!!

What kind of first name? Classic? Modern?

Magalyxyz · 15/06/2010 20:20

I think a 3 syllable name (or 4 in fact!) goes best with a short sur name. I'm just using Faith as an example

Juliet Faith
Annabel Faith
Lydia Faith
Susannah Faith
Elizabeth Faith
Saskia Faith
Lucia Faith
Belinda Faith
Penelope Faith
Rosemary Faith
Romilly Faith

I love Georgiana. Classic, beautiful and elegant, but Georgie is really cute too.

Also:

Elizabeth
Francesca
Cecelia
Cordelia

FellatioNelson · 15/06/2010 21:14

Give us a few example of names you like or we could be barking up the wrong tree! No good suggesting Horatia and Orlando to someone who likes Liam and Caitlin!

mamjo · 16/06/2010 09:21

I usually like Classic, Timeless names butsometimes I hear something really different that make me think.

I am at the moment leaning towards Elizabeth and Alexandra

Trouble is 3 syllable names do tend to get shortened. What about Anastasia? Patricia?

GladioliBuckets · 16/06/2010 12:46

Doesn't tick your boxes at all but I think it sounds great:

Phoebe Faith

FellatioNelson · 16/06/2010 14:27

I love Elizabeth and the good thing about it is there are so many ways to shorten it - it's kind of inevitable so may as well pick one with good options!

clpsmum · 16/06/2010 16:37

my surname also is one syllable beginning with F. our shortlist if we have a girl is

alice
matilda
francesca
lola
laila
gabriella
