would it be stupid to have both my names as middle names for the baby?

If it's a girl, DP would like my first name as its middle name, and then my surname either as a middle name or double-barrelled with his as a surname.

That's silly, isn't it?

I don't think so at all! My son has basically got my Dad's name as his middle names. I would have given my daughter my name as middle names. I think I suggested it...

Middle name and double barrelled surname sounds perfect and perfectly normal to me.

Oh. It just looks a bit odd to see my whole name, in order, slap bang in the middle of kiddo's name

men do it all the time though. i know loads of kids who have their dad's name as middle name and then their dad's surname. quite a few have their dad's first name as their first name too. surely if it's acceptable for the man's name to be there it shouldn't be weird for the mum's?

Not silly in itself but if you are not sure are you considering other alternatives too?
