Aristotle, Aristotle, was a bugger for the bottle (is my Pavlovian response to hearing that name, dating back to an old philosophy course - I think he died an alcoholic).

I love Greek names - so much meaning, history, potential for good nicknames, rooted in Western culture and history...

How about Troy? Helios? Lyander (meaning 'lion of a man'), Orion, Zephyr? (or Alex, Jason or Aron)
