Hello

I love Kitty Ellen or Hermione Ellen for a girl and either Arlo William, Kit William or Monty William for a boy....

I'm ready for feedback, don't be shy!!!

Kitty - is not a name, it's a nickname. Call her Katherine, Kitty for short.
Ellen - nice
Hermione - nice
Arlo - not my bag, but it's fine
William - lovely strong name
Kit - I have a half brother called Kit, but I'm not keen, again, not a full name. Short for Christopher i think.
Monty is pretty terrible, but again, if you must, call him Montgomery or something with monty as a NN.

BuzzingNoise · 06/06/2010 22:09

I'm not keen on any of them. Arlo is ok, but only just.

EricNorthmansmistress · 06/06/2010 22:09

What's wrong with Katherine?

I love Hermione and Monty!

I'm not keen on (Hello) Kitty.

5DollarShake · 07/06/2010 11:12

I don't really love any of the names if I'm completely honest, but that's just my taste - nothing really wrong with them.

If you do go with Hermione, please don't mess around with the spelling in order to make it more pronounceable for those without the nous to realise it's a Greek name!

Rubena · 07/06/2010 11:19

I like Ellen but I really don't like Kitty or the H one

DastardlyandSmugly · 07/06/2010 11:31

Love Kitty and Kit but like all of them really.

Amarilis · 08/06/2010 14:50

Thanks everyone! I love Kitty as name in it's own right (think Pride & Predudice!) - and think it's a bit different too.

Hermione is still up there and I have a greek name too - so don't worry, if I go with it, I will be true to the spelling 5dollarshake

I like Lola today too, but think it's a bit too trendy?!!!

Hmm, Kitty is very of the moment isn't it - think it's a bit of a faddy name as there seem to be quite a lot around at the moment.

Ellen I find a litle boring but inoffensive, and Hermione is not to my taste

Monty awful. William I like - classic and timeless

swanandduck · 08/06/2010 16:28

I like Kitty, Kit and William. I don't really like any of the other names, although Hermione could grow on me.

I don't think people will have trouble spelling Hermione. JK did you a favour there. It's a v nice name.

prefer Ellen and William but the child isn't mine it is yours!

pumperspumpkin · 08/06/2010 20:47

Of your choices - Arlo William for a boy, I like that it's a proper first name rather than a nickname. Not mad on either of your girl choices but would rather go for Kitty than Hermione because it's sooooooo Harry Potter.

MissTFied · 08/06/2010 21:12

Don't like Arlo or Monty. William is ok for a middle name.
I love Kit, but like you I don't like Christopher. Is there another name that Kit could be short for?
How about Kip? I like it, but think it may be too American.

Suwoo isn't Oscar a dog food?

Hermione is the best of the girls names, but may be too popular now?
