specialsmasher · 05/06/2010 19:37

Gorgeous. I'm called Rosie, or it would have been my dd's name.

NanKid · 05/06/2010 19:37

I love Rose. Nice. Simple. Beautiful. Do it.

kellze · 05/06/2010 19:51

my DS is Sophia Rose. Sophia was DPs choice, Rose was mine. I love it.

MamaVoo · 05/06/2010 19:53

A beautiful name. Stamp on anyone who calls her Rosie.

Nice as alot of people use it just as a middle name, so first name is lovely.

aspiegal · 05/06/2010 21:13

To put it plain and simple- Perfect choice

henry37 · 05/06/2010 22:07

MamaLazarou · 06/06/2010 11:21

It's lovely. Very popular round here.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2010 11:47

We know a Rose who is 14 and it is gorgeous. She has also never been Rosie.

usualsuspect · 06/06/2010 11:51

Ok for a child ,but don't think its a great name for a teenager or adult ...

Poohbearsmom · 06/06/2010 12:08

It is really lovely i knew a Rose who was a smashin girl wild and willowy and super intelligent. what middle names do you have it mind?

Harley85 i would not change my choice of name for my dc because a friend had called her dc that name, will it really make a difference to your dd or you in the long run? If its the name you really really wanted and loved!?

Greensleeves · 06/06/2010 12:09

It's a lovely simple name

but it does remind me a bit of Billie Bigmouth of Dr Who fame - though I imagine for most people that would be a positive association

CantSupinate · 06/06/2010 12:13

It's fine, but be mindful that it is a very NOW name, lots of children in this generation will have it as first or middle name. It and Isobel (spelling variants!) will be vulnerable to becoming passe like Julie/Sarah/Nicola now are (girls born in 1960s and 1970s).

Hedwig3 · 06/06/2010 21:49

Gorgeous, elegant, timeless.

Love Rosa too.
