Do you like this name?

First heard it on a MN, mentioned it to DH and he is stuck on it now.

Wondered what others thought of this name, do you ike it? What are your impressions?

Do you think it wil be a difficult name to live with as its quite unheard of.

Appreciate your honesty.

(We already have an Eva btw)

Dulcie will be all over the place before we know it! And out of fashion just as quick!

I think it's pretty.

How about Dodie as an alternative? Pretty, under used and as a result there wont be many others out there.

MagalyZz · 06/06/2010 01:41

Dodie!? no. That's another word for a soother or a dummy!

RhodaMorgenstern · 06/06/2010 01:48

I knew a girl at school called Dulcibella. She went by her middle name of 'Tracy' however! Pity, as I thought Dulcibella was rather fab.

FionaSH · 06/06/2010 09:00

Love it.

Ineedsomesleep · 06/06/2010 11:08

I like it and I only know one little girl with the name so its fairly unusual around here.

florence2511 · 07/06/2010 17:09

Never heard Dodie being used as another word for a dummy!! Still like it though.

All I know is that it is a shortened form of Dorothy but I know someone who was actually named Dodie.

Pfishofplight · 08/06/2010 14:20

I know a Dulcie, and I like it. She shortens it to Dulce.

swanandduck · 08/06/2010 16:07

It's the kind of name that used to appear in old fashioned school stories, along with Nancy, Audrey and Pamela which also seem to be making a comeback.

missgenevieveclavel · 08/06/2010 16:15

v pretty but could be shortened to Dull!
