Running out of time to find a boys name ... help

I am due DC3 in less than one week and really panicking that if baby is a boy he wont have a name.

Before I got pregnant I loved the name Noah, but realise that it is now very popular, and towards the end of my pregnancy I have changed my mind. The only other names DH and I have agreed on are

Finlay/Finley or just Finn
George

I know that these names are also popular but could really do with some feedback. Could you also advise on the spelling of Finlay/Finley as know if can be spelt two ways. Thanks

Finn is very popular, if not more so than Noah imo, especially if you add up all the Finlays, Finnians, Finleys etc.
Have you considered Quinn as an alternative?

George is nice.

I don't think DH would go for Quinn I'm afraid.

George goes well with DS1 and 2s names (which I wont put incase anyone recognises me). Think DH prefers the other names to George but I am leaning towards George more now I think .

I don't know any Noahs (although I know it's meant to be popular) but do know at least 4 Finns. Might depend where you live though.

whatwasthatagain · 27/05/2010 15:24

What about Flynn?

diddl · 27/05/2010 15:29

George

dannas · 27/05/2010 16:24

George is twice as popular as Finn (even if you add up all the Finlays and Finleys) but it is very nice. I love Finn & Finlay too. And Noah! you can't go wrong with any of those three IMO.

Flynn & Quinn are terrible.

electra · 27/05/2010 16:25

George is also becoming popular atm.

twolittlemonkeys · 27/05/2010 16:26

I definitely prefer George to Finlay/ley but afaik Noah isn't that popular. I only know 1.

lollyheart · 27/05/2010 16:28

I love all the names, sorry not much help.

I know a Noah and his brother is finley

dannas · 27/05/2010 16:33

I know two sets of Finlay & Noah too.

Finlay is the better spelling. I think Finley is a more modern take on the name.

Thanks for all your responses. Will see what baby looks like when s/he arrives. I just wish DH and I could decide the name before the birth . In the mean time would welcome any other suggestions/comments.

I like George best, then Noah. Not keen on Finlay/Finley.

sassysass · 27/05/2010 17:55

I love Finn. Great for a baby, boy & man. I may be tempted to put Finlay on the BC especially if the surname is short. Or.. there are so many other great Finn names. Finbar, Finlo, Phineas, Fintan...

thisisyesterday · 27/05/2010 18:00

Finlay/Finn and George are just as popular as Noah, if not more so!

like all 3 though!

SillyTillyBilly · 27/05/2010 18:58

I love George and Noah but really don't like Finn I'm afraid. We know so many Finlay/Finley/Fin/Fynn/Finn that I think if all the names were grouped together it would be alot more popular than Noah.

flopsy1974 · 28/05/2010 13:10

Go for George. Lovely name.

imahappycamper · 28/05/2010 20:24

Really does depend on where you live. Noah is over popular here. Finn/Finlay etc only slightly. George hardly at all.
I like George.
