Really need help now...

Me and DP really cant agree on a name and starting to get annoyed with each other as he doesnt like mine and i dont like his!

We have a DD1 Faith Annette (2.4) so has to go well with her name

Grace is going to be her middle name as family name (as is Annette)

Elizabeth is DP only name he really likes, i like it, but really dont like lizzy and it puts me off!

I love Elsie and Eden but he doesnt,

Names we cant have (as family or close friends have):

Daisy
Lilly
Rosie
Isobel

Cant have any thing starting with B as are surname starts with B...

Thanks in advance for help

Would Joy work with Faith? Or would you avoid two virtue names together?

I think Joy and Faith are nice, but I wouldn't go for say Prudence and Chastity

piscesmoon · 21/05/2010 19:35

I love Elizabeth, I happen to like Lizzie but there are so many possibilities, Beth, Libby, Betty etc.
I loathe Elsie-(so do the old ladies I know who have the name) . I don't like Eden.
Suggestions

Sarah Grace
Susannah Grace
Catherine Grace
Hannah Grace
Victoria Grace
Alexandra Grace
Eliza Grace
Sophia Grace
Verity Grace

I like the variations Eliza, also Eilis (Irish), Elspeth, Liesel, Elisa, Liza, Elsa and Elisheva (Hebrew).

Nifa86 · 21/05/2010 20:32

Elizabeth is a nice name with lots of nickname possibilities. My friend has an Elisabeth, I think she spelt it that way purposely to avoid Lizzy! She goes by Ellie but there are so many others, could probably even get away with Elsie ;)

Mousesmummy · 21/05/2010 21:17

Both Elsie and Elizabeth are lovely names - could you not wait and see which one she 'looks' like??
Got to say I really don't like Eden - sorry!

Wait and see-we took the same list to the hospital for all 3 babes and went through them all again after they were born-the youngest is Elizabeth Ellen but she our wee Libby and it suits her perfectly-good luck!
