Suzannah or Annabel or Miranda

Think Ive narrowed it to these and Florence as middle name. Nice nicknames needed please and which name is best? Not sure Annabel will suit my dark haired girl in the long run for some reason, whether Suzannah is a bit too 70's and 'Randy' Miranda - but they're the only names we now agree on.

I think Suzannah/Suzi is lovely. It doesn't matter about the '70s, who'll remember those when your DD is 10 or 20?

BoldChislers · 21/05/2010 18:37

Susannah/Susie but spelt like this Susannah, Then Annabel. I don't like Miranda much, although I think names ending in 'da' are starting to come back. I like Belinda and Zelda.

forgot to add the other contender is lucinda.

Have you got two children to name? One child called Lucy but you want a longer name on the bc, and you are pregnant as well?! is that right? not that it's any of my business at all.

Northernlurker · 21/05/2010 18:40

I have a Miranda - she doesn't really have a nickname as such. We do call her Mandy or Manda sometimes - but that's more from what her sisters made of her name when they were very wee. It's a great name imo

I don't like Annabel and Suzannah - Susannah is much nicer.

mathanxiety · 21/05/2010 20:32

I know a Miranda whose nn is Miri. Her little brother calls her Andie.

Bonsoir · 21/05/2010 20:35

Susannah with an s
Annabelle or Annabella

Don't like Miranda

Nifa86 · 21/05/2010 20:39

I actually really like Annabel and I don't usually like really girly names! Anna is lovely as a nickname or you could have Belle or Bella or Annie. Don't like the others sorry.

Rindercella · 21/05/2010 20:40

One of my closest friends is called Miranda, so I love the name. She is only ever referred to as Miranda (and would have a fit at any shortenings!). I like Miri as a nn though.

Not so keen on Annabelle, but like Suzi.

ThisIsJustTheStart · 21/05/2010 21:06

Miranda.

winkle2 · 21/05/2010 21:09

I actually know a Lucinda Anabella!

Annabella is my fave out of all of those.

pooka · 21/05/2010 21:12

I'd spell it Susanna. I like it.

Miranda is beautiful. A lovely, interesting, feisty name.

Annabel - a bit sloaney to me.

LynetteScavo · 21/05/2010 21:13

Miranda. Miri for short.

bearcrumble · 23/05/2010 17:59

I know a Miranda who is 'Mim' for short.

AndieWalsh · 23/05/2010 18:02

Susannah or Miranda. Not Annabel.

stefy56 · 23/05/2010 18:05

Miranda no problem.
