Would love your thoughts on these names !

Hiya

We are expecting a baby girl shortly and have a shortlist.....but love them all-so I am throwing them out to you guys for some thoughts please!!

Tabitha
Lila (pronounced LIL-A) or Lilla
Flora
Florence
Scarlett
Lily

Do you think these are nice? will they date? would love your thoughts! thanks X

I really like all the names on your list. My absolute faves are Flora and Tabitha. Flora is my sister in law's name and it works well for an adult. Tabitha is on my list - I can't quite decide whether it's slightly too feline but I love it. My third fave is Scarlett (which is also on my list) - I just can't quite decide whether it's too 'harsh' a sounding name and is a bit of a bummer if you're not stunning! My least favourite is probably Lily but I still like it!

Tabitha and Lily are my favorites.

Flora is lovely.

I had a Great Aunt called Lilla who was a lovely gentle soul.

Thanks for your thoughts so far, maybe if you could rank them in order of pref that would be helpfull! am really stuck on these! x

Flora sounds like margarine

There's the obvious margarine hurdle but once one is over that I think it's gorgeous!

I like all except Scarlett and Lila.

I like Flora. Tabitha's nice but a bit frilly. Florence is okay. Lily is a bit over used. I don't like Scarlett or Lila.

Lilla sounds like a made up name/nickname to me.

2 Lila (Lilla) If you can find another way to spell this that make the Lilla pronunciation obvious then I like this.

• -- Scarlett (I think this name has absolutely nothing to recommend it)

I think Tabitha would be my favourite.

Love them all - bookmarking your list for future (at least two years) reference, in the hope they won't have dated by then either.

I like Florence and Lily best. Scarlett is OK. Not keen on Flora or Lila, and dislike Tabitha.

Each and every one is lovely. I think maybe Scarlett will date. The others are timeles. I wanted a Lila - pronounced Leee-la. But not to be!

Lily is definitely the most commonly found, and alongside Scarlett is the most likely to date imho.

Lily is the only one I like whole heartedly (yes, yes, I know it is popular, but for a reason, imo).

I like Lila (or Lyla) and Florence - although fear it may be the new in name cos of Florence and the Machine?

I love all of them, but I think they are all getting ever so popular, I think I like florence most of all though, flori is nice as nn also.
