Hugo. Lovely name.

BrigitteBardot · 18/05/2010 15:03

I like Robin and Hugo. I don't like Rupert.

birdofthenorth · 18/05/2010 15:15

Robin. The rest are a bit posh in my mind but massive congrats and good luck for the birth!

plumb2 · 18/05/2010 15:21

Will be half Swedish so tried to chose a name that would be okay to use in Swedish but still okay to say and spell here! Don't think Gustaf is so easy to say and spell here but family name so may well use as middle name.

Victor - strong Icelandic warrior
Rupert - bear with yellow scarf
Robin - cheerful bloke, bit of a doormat
Hugo - frightfully posh, his mother dresses him in chinos.
Gustaf - communist dictator

minipie · 18/05/2010 15:25

Robin deffo. love this name.

Gustaf - fine if you have heritage to back it up. Gus is sweet.

Victor is ok but a bit old man-y.

Rupert and Hugo are stereotype posh boy names, so fine if you are in that category.

Love Hugo.

emmyloo2 · 18/05/2010 15:52

Hugo. Victor reminds me of a Russian man (I lived in Russia for a while). Hugo is sweet and cool. Really like it. Plus can get shortend to Hugh which I also like.

Not a fan of Gustaf. As someone said - communist dictator.

AndieWalsh · 18/05/2010 16:31

Hugo

mathanxiety · 18/05/2010 17:02

Victor -- I think old man, not cool old man
Rupert -- bears, silliness, Bavaria, sounds terrible if a child can't pwonounce his Rs
Robin -- a bit wet
Hugo -- very nice
Gustaf -- fabulous

strandedatsea · 18/05/2010 17:05

Thor? Or is that Norwegian?
How about Huwey/Huey instead of Hugo?

readerholic · 18/05/2010 17:10

Swedish names
Niklas
Mikael - Mikki for short, which is nice
Andreas
Orwen - not sure how you spell it but it sounds like that

I like Victor too.

Louplet · 18/05/2010 19:15

I have a Swedish friend called Pontus which I quite like as an unusual name

Hedwig3 · 19/05/2010 10:58

I like Robin and Hugo best from your list.

LadyBone · 19/05/2010 10:59

Victor & Robin.

imahappycamper · 19/05/2010 11:25

Close family memebr called Robin. Lovely for a little boy, but not quite so good at 50+.

EleanorD · 19/05/2010 20:35

heymango · 19/05/2010 20:37
