How popular is Frederick/ Freddie at the moment?

Hi all, it'd be great to get some opinions on Frederick/ Freddie. How popular is it at the moment and do you think it's too much of a 'now' name? I know it's becoming more popular and, alhtough we love the name, we're concerned it may be too much of a fad name - we want something that's classic and stands the test of time.

I don't know any. I thought it would become much more popular after freddie flintoff won SPOTY about 4 years ago. It was about number 80 then. I considered it.

I know 2 toddlers called Fred/Freddie, so think it's rising in popularity. But it's a lovely name

I know three pretty well.

One is 9, one 7 and one 3. That's not masses on the face of it. (I know a lot of children). I mean it's not at Oliver/James/Matthew/Max level.

I reckon it's pretty classic and generally lovely.

I know 3 Freddies all under 3 (South London) but it is a lovely classic name and if you love it, does it matter?

I know one, a 9 month old twin (twin is Albert).

I dont know any but this is top of our list at moment (named after my taid/welsh for granddad. Love the nn Fred.
