I love 'Bay'. The colour of a shiney horse and a costal scene, in my head anyway. With normal middle name, wdyt?

I am not keen, sorry.

Mongolia · 21/04/2010 15:09

sharbie · 21/04/2010 15:11

sofia99 · 21/04/2010 15:11

Strawbezza · 21/04/2010 15:13

Ooooh no, sorry.

Psammead · 21/04/2010 15:14

I quite like it, actually. In fact, if I have a boy next time round, I might pinch it as a middle name!

Not sure I'd be brave enough to use it as a fist name, but if you like it, go ahead!

padraig · 21/04/2010 15:19

Which celebrity has a child called Bay?

Personally I'm not a fan.

Also it rhymes with GAY. That's something you might want to avoid in a name.

sofia99 · 21/04/2010 15:20

Thanks! I have a Caspar, so may be braver than your average bear, yes?

LetThereBeRock · 21/04/2010 15:34

No.It's awful.

Caspar is a great name though.

Bucharest · 21/04/2010 15:40

I have a Bay on my family tree. Old bird from the 1890s or thereabouts, some sister of great grandad. Went to America IIRC.

Don't like it though, too abrupt.

LynetteScavo · 21/04/2010 15:41

Casper is a fantastic name.

I think you need an equally great name, and Bay just isn't up to it.

debaronz · 21/04/2010 15:42

I quite like it.

DrivenToDistraction · 21/04/2010 15:43

Casper is a grand name, not so keen on Bay at all. I've always thought Felix went well with Casper.

dizzydixies · 21/04/2010 15:45

I love it, we're considering it as a middle name

tis name of Kirsty alsopps eldest - Bay Atlas

sweetkitty · 21/04/2010 15:47

I don't like it sorry my brain automatically adds leaf on the end

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 15:54

I like it.

Be prepare

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/04/2010 15:55

d for Aunty Mary to chunter that it's not a proper name though.

DastardlyandSmugly · 21/04/2010 15:56

driventodistraction, I agree re Felix but DH hates it. He doesn't know about my hankering for Bay though!

MmeLindt · 21/04/2010 16:31

I agree with Bucharest, it is too abrupt.

Caspar is great. I would go for something like

Leon
Alexander
Tim

Felix goes well.

DrivenToDistraction · 21/04/2010 16:45

Well then, you have to make him let you call him Felix

You're the one who has to give birth, after all!

APassionateWoman · 21/04/2010 16:46

Dreadful, sorry.

GibbonInARibbon · 21/04/2010 16:48

We had Bay before, it was a no no then as it is now.

5DollarShake · 21/04/2010 17:06

I actually quite like it - for a girl. Puts me in mind of a tall, willowy, erudite brunette.

I think you would need a surname of at least 3 syllables to carry it off, though.
