Buddy?

once again, ladies and gentlemen of the jury..

Buddy is one of the worst words in the English language. I have a friend who has a FB friend who leaves her little messages saying 'hi buddy'. It makes me want to kill people. As a name, no no no!

Round here, 'Buddy' is what you get called by the guy in the pub whose pint you've just spilled and now he's about to punch you in the face.
