Well? I can't decide between the two.

Tallulah - obviously

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 15/04/2010 05:23

Mabel, but what was your longlist?

Magaly · 15/04/2010 08:10

Mabel. Tallulah is very sleb. Demi Moore, Kat slater (?) and there is somebody else as well. can't think.

boodleboot · 15/04/2010 08:40

Mabel is lovely
Tallulah is really not

posieparker · 15/04/2010 08:43

I have a Mabel and everyone, no exceptions, says it's a lovely name. So English.

Tallulah, great for shrtening to Lullah....I know quite a few of these, I think it's living in the SW!!

To the poster that suggested Gemma and Pheobe....was that a joke?

posieparker · 15/04/2010 08:44

is Mabel for me!

Magaly · 15/04/2010 08:51

I think Gemma and Phoebe are beautiful names! It wasn't me who suggested them but why would that be a joke?

Lu-la is what my dc call a vagina

girlsyearapart · 15/04/2010 09:09

I really like Tallulah but we already have a Lola so can't have it if dc3 is a girl- Lola and Lulah..

Mabel

posieparker · 15/04/2010 12:27

Has Mabel made the stats now then? Damn!

If I had another girl she would be Posy... alas 4 c sections and withered finances mean no more!!

I dislike both but Tallulah is marginally more tolerable (still a chicken's name, though).

posieparker · 15/04/2010 13:24

phew! None of my dcs names make those lists!

tiredpooky · 15/04/2010 13:31

Tallulah, no question!

BettyButterknife · 15/04/2010 13:40

Mabel, definitely. Tallulah is in the Lola bracket for me - sounds too much like a good-time girl

How about Clover? I love that name.

theagedparent · 15/04/2010 13:45

Tallulah

deaddei · 15/04/2010 13:47

Mabel is MIL'S name. Be warned.
Tallulah sounds like she works in a nightclub, offering favours.

CakeandRoses · 16/04/2010 10:47

Mabel is great and the poss nn May is lovely too. I guess it could become v popular though.

I adore Tallulah but our DC would be called it over my DH's dead body. Very few people seem to share our liking for the name, e.g. a friend recently sniggered 'The little girl over there is called Tallulah. How ridiculous!'

Ineedsomesleep · 16/04/2010 11:01

Please choose Mabel. Tallulah is just awful.

KAEKAE · 16/04/2010 19:28

I love Tallulah...Mabel I dislike.
