Testing the waters with mine and DH's baby name list..

Haven't posted here before but I like everyones honesty DH and I are expecting DD2 in July and we cannot agree on a single name, here is the list of both of our suggested names so far. DD1 is Holly (I don't like sibling 'themes' so no plants, names beginning with H or 'seasonal' although DD was born in summer) I just wanted to see what peoples general thoughts were or if there are any good suggestions Thanks!

Like Alexandra (ahem - tis my name) as it had more than 2 syllables which sounds nice with Holly.

Anna is pretty too and Erin.

Favourite out of those is Amber.

I like Violet and Zoe too but think they're a bit trendy now. Sadie fails the Prime Minister test but is otherwise fine.

Lexie, Sadie, Lucy, Amy and Zoe rhyme too much with Holly for my liking.

Violet and Amber are very sweet but IMVHO do give a nature theme...

So, anyway, enough criticism, it's a good list . My vote would be for Erin with Anna a close second.

The only Holly I know has a sister called Jade.

holly and Jade also nature themed, obviously!

Thanks for the feedback, please keep it coming! I was hoping that Amber was different enough for people to not really make the nature link!! Amber is my favourite but DH hates it so it will probably be something else from this list. Alice is really growing on me (was DH's choice) and is nice because my great grandma was called Alice.

You know what - I think Adele is v pretty and rarely used, so whilst I love Alice, Violet etc Adele stands out a bit more I think.
