Lyra Jane for a girl?

Hi
I'm nearly 40 weeks with 3rd baby, already have a boy and girl, and this time we're undecided about names.

DH loves Lyra, with Jane as a middle name. I'd never heard of it, but he is reading the Phillip Pullman books at the mo!

I'm not sure! What do you think?

We already have an Alexander and Ava.

Thanks in advance for your honest opinions!

Yes I like it. Jane would have been ds's middle name if he had been a girl but the spelling Jayne.

Love Lyra - apart from the Pullman books never heard of anyone with that name, but don't have much contact with small children so it might be popular. Go for it.

Gorgeous!

DH wanted to name dd Lyra (we're both big Pullman fans) but in the end it just didn't suit her when she arrived!

Go for it!

I like Lyra alot.

this is what my ex wanted to call my dd. i hated it. lyra's such a great name (and character!) and to add jane just brings it into the realms of sarah-jane (another name he liked before i mentioned lyra)... plain jane.

What about Lyra Elizabeth?
