Girl's name opinions please!

Hi All,

Go easy on me as this is my first name opinion request!

We are due to have a girl, and so far we have the following 3 names on the 'short list'.

Rose
Ava
Jemima

What do you think?

Hiya, all three are lovely names. All really pretty. I would go for Jemima because it is slightly more unusual. I think Rose goes really well as a second name. Ava Rose or Jemima Rose are both beautiful. I still prefer Jemima Rose though! xx

Jemima is my favourite, then Rose and then Ava. I've come across a few Ava's but the other two names are not that common currently. I don't know whether that bothers you.

I like Rose the best!

The husband's favourite is Ava, he swears he didn't realise it was popular! I do really like it, but worry that in a few years she will be one of 5 in her class. And then I think, should that bother me?! This'll be our first so this is a new dilemma for us.

Rose is my current favourite, but Jemima suddenly cropped up this weekend as an outsider!

Thanks for the opinions, I/we'll carry on mulling it over. We'll probably change our minds completely when she appears!

I love Rose, I like Ava but I don't like Jemima.

Rose and Ava beautiful. jemima cute for a little girl but may be difficult to wear for a lifetime? Can't imagine a 40-year old Jemima somehow!!

I like them all, but Jemima is my favourite.

Jemima. The others are lovely, but fade into the crowd a bit. Tbh I prefer Aoife, and Roisin or Romy.

Jemima Rose or Rose Jemima are equally nice. I don't like Ava.

Ava love it, its my DD middle name....but its so popular.

I think they are all lovely, but just to let you know, the only Jemimas I know are about my daughter's age 11/12/13 it's quite common at school, but not amongst the little ones (lots more Avas in reception and yrs 1 & 2). Jemima Rose is lovely. The Jemima I know best is always known as Mimie (pro Mymee)

Not at all keen on Jemima - I think of Jemima Puddleduck and that doll from Play School. Ava is the most elegant, IMO. Ava Rose would be stunning.
