What do you think of either of these?

I think they are both lovely. Wait till you meet your DD before you decide. I have never named any of my chidlren the name that was top of my list. They never suited them once they were born. LOL

Top tip, check how first name goes with your last name. It gets used together quite a lot at school...

ThatVikRinA22 · 24/03/2010 22:14

like them both!
lovely!

thisisyesterday · 24/03/2010 22:17

i like both of them, Meredith maybe slightly more.

VengefulKitty · 24/03/2010 22:19

I love Meredith Grace.

DinahRod · 24/03/2010 22:22

Both lovely.

Preference for Meredith Grace.

lotster · 24/03/2010 22:25

Meredith Grace, definitely!

Will you call her Merry for short? Cute

gmtbst · 24/03/2010 22:26

Both nice, prefer Meredith Grace.

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 22:28

Meredith Grace

hana · 24/03/2010 22:34

lois is a fab fab name

doesn't really go with amelia i don't think

TheDailyWail · 24/03/2010 22:37

Not Meredith Grace if you're a Greys Anatomy fan.

Main character is called Meredith and she works at Seattle Grace hospital.

sassysass · 24/03/2010 22:48

Lois sounds very American to me. Meredith is OK but neither to my taste. If I had to choose then I'd go for Meredith.

gmtbst · 24/03/2010 23:22

Are you also considering Meredith Lois and Grace Amelia?

menomena · 25/03/2010 01:12

Meredith Grace sounds too close to Meredith Grey IMO but other than that it's a lovely name.

Don't like Lois at all but Amelia is nice.

Carys Amelia or Iris Amelia for a similar sound?

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 25/03/2010 01:17

Are you pregnant, Brahms? Or is this a Hypothetical list?

(I have several versions of those)

BrahmsThirdRacket · 25/03/2010 01:39

It's a hypothetical list, not pregnant yet although possibly will be in the next couple of years (hence mumsnet for research on all things baby - I am clueless). Was just curious to see what people thought. I think Meredith Grace is my favourite, DP likes it too.

I've never watched Grey's Anatomy, hopefully by the time sprog is at school it won't be on any more!

I only like the names in those orders. Other likes are Celia, Matilda, Isabel and Anastasia. Bit poncey?

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 25/03/2010 03:47

I like all of those, but Isabel is getting very very popular now. I had to strike Isobel from our list because there are three variations of it at work, and there are only 12 parents.

I like Anastasia.

5DollarShake · 25/03/2010 11:13

I have to admit, neither Meredith nor Lois are to my taste, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Meredith.

theagedparent · 25/03/2010 11:18

Meredith is lovely

2old4thislark · 25/03/2010 11:24

Don't like Meredith - sounds like a frosty old lady to me......I like Lois - there's a road name around here with that name - was built in the 30's so I guess that's an old lady name too.

Meredith doesn't shorten easily.

Servalan · 25/03/2010 12:20

Love the name Lois. Seems a bit of a mouthful with Amelia though (although I think Amelia is a lovely name in itself). I think it would go better with a middle name that had one syllable.

diddl · 25/03/2010 13:07

LOIS, LOIS,LOIS!!

A lovely name.

MamaLazarou · 25/03/2010 14:16

Meredith and Lois are both lovely names. Though I am afraid your middle names both just sound tacked-on for the sake of it, sorry. I always think middle names should be meaningful rather than just your second-favourite names.

taegsmum · 25/03/2010 14:18

I like Amelia Grace
