Aimee, Billie and Millie. Are they two similar?

I quite like the name Billie for a girl. The problem is DD1 is called Aimee and DHs niece is called Millie.

If DH and DSIL didnt see much of each other it wouldnt be such an issue but PIL see the grandkids at the very least once a week.

Are these names too similar?

TBH - I think so.

I don't understand why dh's niece has to be considered?
Aimee and Billie aren't too similar.

They will probably end up spending quite a lot of time together at PILs house so thought it might get confusing.

I honestly wouldn't let that stop you if you really, really like the name.

For the sake of a few years hanging around together, it's hardly worth veto-ing it. I'm assuming there's a bit of an age gap between them, plus they're not actual siblings. They will spend far more of their lives (esp. adult years) apart than together, and might even like the similar sounding names while they're still young.

My DD was called Billie. I have a niece called Milly.

It never caused a problem.

Aimee not too similar IMO.

Until DS2 came along all our names finished in the sound 'ee'

I have given DS4 the second name Marley because I couldnt give it as a first name as his big bro is Harley. Now that wouldve caused problems
