Irish boys names..ideas?

We have a non-Irish name in mind but still like the idea or an Irish name as partner is Irish. But we don't seem to like any so far..any ideas? Associations with writers, artists and musicians always welcome (sad but true).

Thanks for these, I've spotted one that I didn't know that I really quite like! Any more are welcome though - quite like the idea of folklore ones too.

folklore names - i have a finn (finn mccool) and i recently met a baby boy called ferdia, which i thought was a lovely name

wikipedia is good for lists of the various protagonists in irish mythology - here, scroll down to the end & click on 'show' on the right of the green bars saying 'ulster cycle' & 'fenian cycle'
