glittery · 28/02/2010 13:55

Flo

BubblesomeBella · 28/02/2010 14:11

My MIL (83) has this as a middle name and she absolutely hates it - very few people know she even has a middle name. Sometimes DH and I wind her up by calling her Flo!

MrFibble · 28/02/2010 14:17

flo

seeker · 28/02/2010 14:19

The one I know is Floss - but her mum had to really work at it!

ArcticFox · 28/02/2010 14:21

Captain Caveman (long story)

islandofsodor · 28/02/2010 14:21

The one I know is Flo

kitkatsforbreakfast · 28/02/2010 15:10

I know two Flos and a Flossie

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 28/02/2010 15:11

I know two one Floss and one Flo

But if you are thinking of using this name I reckon it will be very popular at the moment, what with Florence and the Machine.

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/02/2010 15:12

I know a Floss and a Roasie

deaddei · 28/02/2010 15:13

i had a 3 legged cat called Florence.
I think it's a lovely name- she was named after my Great Auntie Flo.
Her name was Florence Harriet.

Heated · 28/02/2010 15:16

Florrie and Floss(ie)

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/02/2010 15:19

That should be Rosie - I was thinking or roast chicken whilst typing!

Fayrazzled · 28/02/2010 15:36

Flo- but I don't like it. I think Florrie/Flossie are much nicer, especially for a small child.

LilyBolero · 28/02/2010 15:38

Florrie

bellissima · 28/02/2010 15:42

Know a little Florie (one r) and always assume she's actually a Florence but not sure - she appears on school lists as Florie.

TabithaSmith · 28/02/2010 15:43

Florrie

trixymalixy · 28/02/2010 15:49

Florrie

Granny.

Was my mum's name

SpottySlippers · 28/02/2010 15:52

My two year old dd is Florence and she is known as Floss or Flossie. I like it as a nickname as it is a bit different.

beccagrace2 · 28/02/2010 16:02

my 7 yr old sister is florence, often called flo. i love her name however my mum wonders if she may have been more studious and less paris hilton like if she had been called harriet, which was her second choice.

hildegarde · 28/02/2010 17:03

Flo.

AvengingGerbil · 28/02/2010 17:11

Grandma (great minds, Orm!)

Grandma was called Floss or Flossie. She hated it. Thought it sounded like a sheepdog. Fortunately she was too old to think it sounded like a dental product.

But whatever her name, she was a great Grandma and I miss her. Thanks for the reminder.
