Wondered what the popular names were at the moment and what names you think are going to become popular in the next couple of years

Girls - Rosie/Rose/Evie/Eva/Mia
Boys - Jack/Jake/Oliver/Thomas/James

I think we'll see more names appear from popular TV and films - eg Quinn and Finn from Glee, names from Twilight, various soaps and whatever else is popular.

Also there's some sort of football competition (World Cup?) this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are loads of babies named after footballers.

Alfie. Grace. Ellie / Eleanor. Noah. Ned / Ted. Charlie. Rose as a middle name.
Think more unusual biblical names will 'enjoy' a revival over next couple of years eg. Abel can't think of any more! Amos ? Malachy ? Also 70's names eg. Clare, Joanna, Nicola, Martin, Stuart, Julian.

Girls: Florence, Olivia, May, Ella, Grace, Scarlett

Boys: Alfie, Noah, William, Edward, Oliver, Charles/Charlie, George, Henry/Harry, Finley/Finlay

I think old names will continue to increase in popularity: Edna, Edith, Mabel, Arthur, Wilfred, Albert etc.

Names I once thought of as unusual that I'm now seeing more and more of:

Arthur, Milo, Arlo, Ted/Edward, Gabriel, Quentin (?!), Sidney, Hector - and all the old-man names that haven't been used as much yet!

Florence, Hermione, Flora, Bess/Betty, Darcey, Esme, Edith

Albert, nickname Albie is cute!

I agree, we're definately seeing a revival of 'old' and previously 'posh' names.
