"Soft" names to go with Elizabeth

Hello, need some help.

Am expecting DD1, and as a middle name would really love Elizabeth. DH is not keen (but hasn't given me an outright no) He says it is old fashioned. It is also my Mother's name. But assuming I win on that one, we can't agree on the first name. I love Charlotte Elizabeth (our surname is one syllable beginning with F) but DH says Charlotte is too harsh sounding. So need something softer. We both quite like Sophie, but need more suggestions! WDYT?

peachpud can I be friends with your great aunt Bet? She sounds awesome.

Thank-you for all your suggestions. I am coming to the conclusion that Sophie Elizabeth is the best. Now to convince DH
The trouble is, once you start thinking of your baby as a certain name, and not just 'bump' or 'baby', its difficult to change how you see them. I think she is already Sophie to me!

I think Charlotte Elizabeth is a lovely name, not harsh at all.

If you want something that sounds a bit like Sophie, but your DH doesnt like it, what about Xanthe. A bit more unusual, but some similarity to the sound of the name.

I think Sophie is the softest sounding name there is and very pretty too. My vote goes for Sophie Elizabeth!

I have an Amber Elizabeth - but I like the sound of Sophie Elizabeth too x

Watching with interest as we want Elizabeth for our second name too!
