Dp likes names like

Anastasia

I like names like

Jasmine
Rose

We have a Justin and a Phoebe.
Baby is due in 3 weeks, can anyone find a middle ground that both Dp and I like?!?

Rosalind I agree is lovely!

Out of all your names I actually like Annabel the best though!

Rosalie
Daisy
Violet
Artemis

Trying to think of plant-related names that are actually "proper" names IYSWIM

Alice?

scoobydont · 18/02/2010 13:59

martha
sophia
olivia

janeite · 18/02/2010 14:01

Harriet Rose
Miranda Willow
Isobel Jasmine
Amelia Clover
Harriet Daisy
Florence Violet

Rhuidean · 18/02/2010 14:24

Verity Anne
Alexandra Henriette
Eleanor Rosalind
Antonia Evelyn

I would pick Harriet Anastasia, lovely name. Rose is popular as a middle name, and Willow seems a very bendy name to me Good luck!

Annabel
Harriet
Anastasia
vs.
Willow
Jasmine
Rose

Hmmmm. I actually like 2 of your your DH's choices here, Annabel and Anastasia, especially as you have a Justin and Phoebe.

Would you compromise with Annabel Rose? How about Anastasia Rose? Of your names, I like Jasmine as a first name.

How about Hazel -- it has elements of Harriet, Anastasia and Annabel and it's another plant name like your list. Or Anneliese?

BlueChampagne · 19/02/2010 10:28

How does Rosanne sit with both camps?

MaggieMaeve · 19/02/2010 13:41

Those two lists aren't the scariest example of a lack of middle ground that I have every seen!! I thought I was going to see Elizabeth, Catherine and Annabel, and then Nevaeh, Chardonnay and Jade.

Anastasia can be Ana, Annie, Stacey? do you like any of those?

Harriet isn't my bag because it reminds me of Hairy, but Juliet and Violet seem in a similar style and Juliet would go well with Phoebe imo.

Willow seems a bit silly to me! just not keen on it.
Rose is a bit crusty but Rosemary might appeal to your husband and you could nn her Romy for short! Phoebe and Romy would be lovely.

I second the pp's suggestion of Hazel I love that name, it's gorgeous.

MaggieMaeve · 19/02/2010 13:42

Rosanne! lol. that is a parenting style to me! my daughter is Darlene to my Roseanne.

MaggieMaeve · 19/02/2010 13:43

Anastacia could be Nancy for short which goes well with Phoebe and Justin

IWillNotNeverEatATomato · 19/02/2010 14:06

you obviously like plant/flower names so how about
