Have an Anna and due anytime. If it is a girl, would Alice sound silly? Any other ideas that sound ok with Anna? Still really love Anna and struggling with a girls name!!

Oh what lovely names. I'm due an Anna in a couple of weeks ( ha ha, unless the scan was wrong !!). Think Anna and Alice are absolutely lovely together - same sort of genre. We have a Gracie and an Elsa already, so hoping Anna goes okay with them ?
When are you due?

Lovely!

Aubergines · 15/02/2010 17:08

I think they go nicely.

I like siblings with similar-ish names.

Other ideas:
Rose
Amelia
Nina

Due in a couple of weeks. Your girls names are lovely, Grace was/is on our list! As is Orla (DP's fav), Martha... Would love Elizabeth but got a family full of them!!

It is nice.
I also like Laura with Anna.

I think they're lovely together, not too close at all.

Just beautiful xx

AllieW · 29/03/2010 19:10

They're both pretty and have a similar feel, but since I personally like to avoid siblings having names with the same initial then I wouldn't in your shoes. Too many potential problems with the post!

MinnieMalone · 29/03/2010 20:12

Lovely

sweetkitty · 29/03/2010 22:54

I actually know siblings called Anna and Alice, they are both lovely names.

I am the same as someone else on here and have gone out my names not to have siblings with the same initial, just my thoughts though.

IsItMeOr · 29/03/2010 22:57

Go for it. I would just say make sure you give them a middle name that starts with a different initial to the other one, maybe? I have Dsis's with the same first initial, and I don't recall any problems with post though, tbh.

MarianneD · 30/03/2010 09:11

Yes both beautiful names - go for it!

Aviendha · 30/03/2010 11:34

Sounds fine to me, but as already suggested would choose very different sounding middle names.
