Italian/Spanish girls or boys name ideas please!

DD has an Italian first name and Spanish middle name, and I'm now expecting D?2 for whom I'd like to continue the trend. Btw - the logical reason behind it is that my maiden name is Italian and dd's middle name is that of my great-gran, so I'm not just randomly picking an exotic theme...

All suggestions welcome! I'm trying to form my initial lists to run past DH. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies! So far, of these, I'm liking Diego, Javier, Pascual, Luciano and Gustavo best for boys, and Clara, Gabriella, Francesca, and Beatriz best for girls...

DD an Isabella - so obviously liked Isabel too

I met a little girl recently named "Corazon" which i believe means "heart". I've heard it a lot in Spanish music. I thought that was lovely!

Some great suggestions thanks! Have only gotten through my baby names book up to "L" for girls and was also liking these:
Annora
Aurelia
Carina
Iliana
Juliana
Lenora

Any thoughts?

Am seeing a definite trend towards liking the flowery sounding names...

Also really liked the suggestions Sofia, Lucia, and Ilaria for girls and Alessandro and Emilio for boys...

If you choose Beatriz, make sure you learn the pronunciation in Spanish... it has nothing to do with the English one. It's: "Be-ah-treeth", with the stress on the last syllable.

And if you like "flowery names", check these Spanish names:

For girls:

Margarita (Daisy)
Dalia (Dahlia)
Flor (Flower)
Rosa (Rose)
Jacinta (hyacinth)
Azucena (Madonna Lily)
Violeta (violet)
Hortensia (hydrangea)

And for boys:

Narciso (Daffodil)
Jacinto (hyacinth)

Azucena is one of my favorites!

My son is Giovanni and it's actually gone over better (we are in Los Angeles) than I thought it would. Only bad part is that they have nicknamed him Geo which is of course a mispronunciation of the name, but.....

For girls names, I'm rather partial to my own name (Sofia), but also like Chiara and my dd's name which is Dorotea (we call her Dora for short).

I quite like Zola and Pia for a girl.
