Joan is my MIL so I always associate it with trying-too-hard-to-stay-looking-young-and-not-really-succeeding sixty-something women!

All the names I like seem to get mixed reactions but I guess if we all liked the same names it would be a boring world!!!! I like Joanie as my grandma is Joan and Joanie seems like a more modern version.
