The choice is between....

Saul Nealan Williams

or

Fraser Ellis Williams

After weeks of debate these are the two we are finally left with. We both like the names equally, so just curious to see which out of the two (if you dont like either, no need to post to say so) you prefer.

Fraser is a family name, as is Ellis. Saul is a name we just like and Nealan is after my dad. I am, and baby will be, scottish.

Saul, definitely.

Chillohippi · 07/02/2010 19:40

I prefer Fraser Ellis.

izzybiz · 07/02/2010 19:41

Fraser.

nigglewiggle · 07/02/2010 19:41

I like both, but I prefer Fraser Ellis as it is less tongue-trippy.

Good luck.

thisisyesterday · 07/02/2010 19:43

Saul Nealan, definitely

CristinaTheAstonishing · 07/02/2010 19:44

Fraser Ellis

MrFibble · 07/02/2010 19:45

Wait till he arrives and see which suits him best

Wolfblass · 07/02/2010 20:17

Oooh i really like both Names

Saul was on our shortlist when i was pg with DD

So my vote is for Saul, as when i said Fraser it just reminded me of Frasier the American Sitcom!

Good luck with the new arrival xx

PollyTechnique · 07/02/2010 20:18

Both lovely, but I prefer Fraser Ellis.

Best wishes.

Heated · 07/02/2010 20:19

Saul Nealan

wubblybubbly · 07/02/2010 20:23

prefer Fraser, but the initials spell FEW, that might sound odd

janeite · 07/02/2010 20:26

I like Ellis.

haggismam · 07/02/2010 20:56

thanks folks, I think we probably will just keep both in mind and see which suits him best when he is born. We really do love both names, too hard to choose between them. I did wonder about the initials spelling FEW...but I cant really think of anything negative about that at the moment.

Fraser Nealan

SoupDragon · 07/02/2010 21:06

Fraser Ellis flows better than Saul Nealan.

I was also going to suggest Fraser Nealan.

bluebump · 07/02/2010 21:16

I love Saul.

wubblybubbly · 08/02/2010 12:42

FEW isn't offensive at all, but I'd be tempted to stick another consonant in there before or after the Ellis.

Fraser Nealan Ellis?
Fraser Ellis Nealan?

DS has four names, 1st after my Dad, 2nd after DH, 3rd my surname, 4th DH surname.

CillySunt · 08/02/2010 12:45

Saul Nealan

vitapulchra · 11/02/2010 12:21

Saul conjours up the biblical king for me--I wouldn't be able to get past it.

pixiestix · 11/02/2010 12:25

Fraser Ellis Nealan is FAB!!

Jamieandhismagictorch · 11/02/2010 13:06

I like both, but on balance I think

Fraser, as it goes better with surname
