due very soon at last found 2 names we love
emerald or cecily and could live with either but not sure which to go with. only minor problem with cecily is its meaning that is dim sighted or blind but thats not a huge problem
up till 2 days ago cecily was my favourite but couldnt get dh to agree so kept trawling name books and came with emerald which i now love as much if not more as the name cecily.
dh now loves cecily as his parents like it
but he also likes emerald and could live with it.
other dcs are
bethany
blake
lydia
tudor
leighton
tabitha and
gabriel
which name goes best with these etc
sorry not my first post but getting desperate and as this is probably the last dc really want to get it right
opinions please

I immediately thought Cecily as it flows very well with your other names. However, I kind of agree with the ending with a flourish thing - Emerald is a 'chunky' name, it won't get lost in the ether. I also like your reasons for choosing it.

(By chunky I suppose I mean substantial, it has great presence)

franke thanks that how i feel but it has been so negatively received im waivering
the dc prefer it to cecily which they positively loathe not sure exactly why
