Hi all,

Just wondered what your first impressions were of the boy's name Joel. I think it's a cool name for a baby, boy or man - but wondering whether it's a bit too....well.... boring?!

Would love to hear what you think.

Thanks.
Schnitzel.

It's really lovely and not used too often.

PollyTechnique · 24/01/2010 20:54

Definitely not boring.

Classy, IMO.

It's my nephew's name and we all love it. He is the only one we've met too - (DH and I both teachers) so pretty unusual.

Wolfblass · 24/01/2010 22:17

Oooh i love it

writes it down as a contender for another bump

Already have a Master G and a Miss G and was thinking of J names to round them off nicely!

ChippingIn · 25/01/2010 11:43

Love it. Classic but not over-used. Avoid if you already have a Billy though!!

I know two gay American Joels. Both very lovely but a coincidence in that they are the only Joels I know.

lisata · 26/01/2010 09:16

We chose Joel as a name for my son. I have been really happy with it - there are not too many of them about. It also works well in French and Spanish. Its a good length. I think most people think its quite a cool name. Truth is actually its the kid that makes the name anyway (-:

gagamama · 26/01/2010 12:15

Like it. The only Joel I've ever known was achingly cool.

ChickenInABasket · 26/01/2010 13:26

Very cool name, I like it very much.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 26/01/2010 18:41

Like it. Not boring. Good for a boy and an adult.
